Kristaps Porzingis, the subject of red-hot trade rumors in recent weeks, may not be leaving the New York Knicks after all.
Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek suggested on Sunday he does not believe the talented, 21-year-old star is still being discussed in trade talks.
"We love KP and what he does so I don't see him going anywhere," Hornacek said, via ESPN.
Porzingis made it clear late last season he did not like the Knicks' direction and he clearly expressed his displeasure by skipping his postseason exit interview.
Leading up to the NBA Draft, Phil Jackson reportedly shopped the Latvian star around the league looking to make a deal.
But Porzingis might be more content with the team's situation now that Jackson has left his role as president.
Porzingis averaged 18.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season, his second year in the NBA.
