Murray pulls out of second Hurlingham exhibition

Updated:

Andy Murray has pulled out of another exhibition at the Hurlingham Club, the world number one missing out on his last chance for match practice ahead of his Wimbledon defence.

Murray, who fell at the first hurdle at Queen's Club at the hands of lucky loser Jordan Thompson, withdrew from an exhibition with Lucas Pouille on Tuesday with a sore hip.

He was due to play at the same venue on Friday, but will go into the start of his tilt for a second successive title at the All England Club short of time on the grass.

"Sadly I won't be ready to play at Hurlingham tomorrow [Friday]," Murray said. "My hip is still sore and I need to rest it today and likely tomorrow."
