Tommy Haas has been handed a Wimbledon wildcard for what will be the veteran's final visit to SW19 as a player.
The 39-year-old has confirmed 2017 will be his last on the ATP Tour and the German will get his chance to say farewell to the Wimbledon crowds after being named as one of five players to earn a wildcard for the men's singles draw on Wednesday .
Haas' best showing at the prestigious grass-court major came in 2009 when he enjoyed a run to the semi-finals before being beaten by the legendary Roger Federer.
Posting on Twitter about the wildcard, he wrote: "A very loud 'thank you' 39 times to @Wimbledon for giving me the opportunity to compete at the championships."
Haas has not yet confirmed when he will cease playing on the Tour, but has spoken of his desire to play the US Open and in Vienna later this year.
