French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko has pulled out of next week's Aegon Classic, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has confirmed.
Ostapenko shocked the tennis world earlier this month, beating Simona Halep in the women's singles final at Roland Garros to claim her first career title.
However, the 20-year-old Latvian has now followed the likes of Halep, Karolina Pliskova and Agnieszka Radwanska in pulling out of the grass-court event in Birmingham.
Having announced earlier on Friday that Ostapenko's participation in the Aegon Classic was in doubt, the LTA confirmed in a subsequent email to Omnisport that the youngster had now withdrawn.
As a result, Ostapenko is set to feature in only one grass-court tournament, at Eastbourne, before Wimbledon begins on July 3.
