Battling Leeds Rhinos came from behind to edge out Wakefield Trinity 18-16 and leapfrog back above Hull FC into third in the Super League on a day when Catalans Dragons slumped to a heavy home defeat against Huddersfield Giants.
A Tom Briscoe double and further tries from Stevie Ward and Joel Moon saw the Rhinos turn a 10-0 deficit into an 18-10 advantage before former Leeds youngster Ben Jones-Bishop crossed with nine minutes left to set up a tense finale.
But Leeds stood firm to go level with second-place Salford Red Devils and within four points of leaders Castleford Tigers, who host beleaguered Warrington Wolves on Sunday.

Huddersfield move up to eighth above the Dragons after thrashing the French side 56-12 in Perpignan.
Jake Mamo helped himself to four tries - including a lung-busting, length-of-the-field effort after pouncing on a loose pass - as the Giants ran riot.
A seventh defeat from the Dragons' last eight games in all competitions - Huddersfield also beat Catalans at Magic Weekend last month - comes as the strugglers continue their search for a new coach.
