Tom Dumoulin has signed a new contract with Team Sunweb just over a week after winning the Giro d'Italia.
The 26-year-old from the Netherlands claimed his first Grand Tour title with another superb time-trial ride from Monza to Milan in the 21st and final stage.
Dumoulin has now committed to a fresh deal which will run until 2022, extending his six-year stay with the team.
"I have some big news for you, I decided to renew my contract with Team Sunweb until 2022, so for the coming four years I'll still be riding in our great team colours," he said in a video posted on Team Sunweb's official website.
"I have always been really happy with the team, I made some huge steps in my development, not only me, but the whole team grew to another level and I'm very confident we will be making huge steps in the coming years."
The team added in a statement: "Tom has shown over the previous six years with Team Sunweb that his personal beliefs align with the teams 'Keep Challenging' philosophy, and that both rider and team complement each other well.
"This provides the perfect foundation to continue building and strengthening the relationship in the future."
