Rabbitohs captain Inglis admitted to mental health facility

South Sydney Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis has entered a mental health rehabilitation facility, the club have confirmed.

The Rabbitohs announced Inglis was admitted last week and will undergo "a series of programs and treatments to assist with his mental health".

No specifics of the star full-back's condition were provided by club.

An official statement read: "Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis has entered a mental health rehabilitation facility.

"Inglis entered the facility last week and will be undergoing a series of programs and treatments to assist with his mental health.

"The Rabbitohs, Greg and his management will not be making any further comment at this stage, and we ask the media to respect the privacy of both Greg and his family at this time."

Inglis has been sidelined since rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee when Souths suffered a 34-18 defeat to Wests Tigers in their NRL opener on March 3.

The injury is expected to keep him out of action for the remainder of the campaign.
