Craig Bellamy believes Sam Kasiano would be a great fit for Melbourne Storm and is hopeful that the NRL leaders can land the Canterbury Bulldogs prop.
The Storm are actively trying to add to their ranks with Cooper Cronk, Jordan McLean and Tohu Harris heading for the exit door.
Melbourne coach Bellamy on Thursday confirmed that 26-year-old Kasiano is on his wish list.
"Losing Jordan McLean, that takes a bit of size out of our team; we'd love to have Sam here," Bellamy said. "There's no secret we're trying to get him.
"I'm not sure the Bulldogs want to release him. They've made a couple of big buys and might have to release him.
"For us, hopefully we can get him here. He's got size and great skill for a big guy. We think he'd fit into our style of play and we'd love to see him here in Melbourne.
"My sources tell me Sam got married in the pre-season, has a couple of kids and settled right down. He'd fit right into our family atmosphere here."
