Seahawks and Raiders agree on Marshawn Lynch deal

Updated:

Marshawn Lynch's representatives and the Raiders have agreed terms on a one-year contract, and the Seattle Seahawks have nailed down the trade that will send the five-time Pro Bowler to Oakland.

The Raiders announced on Wednesday that they will also get Seattle's sixth-round draft choice in 2018, while sending their fifth-round pick that year to the Seahawks.

Lynch tweeted that "It's time" for him to head to his hometown.

The draft-compensation agreement comes after the Raiders and Lynch agreed to a 2017 contract that will pay him $3 million in base salary with a $2 million bonus if he rushes for 1,000 yards. The maximum value of the deal is $8.5 million.

Lynch must eventually file papers to reverse his retirement, which he announced in February last year.
