Broncos forward Pangai faces up to 12 weeks out
Brisbane Broncos forward Tevita Pangai Junior faces up to 12 weeks on the sidelines after scans revealed his finger injury is worse than first feared.
Pangai broke his finger in the Broncos' 24-22 victory over Gold Coast Titans on Friday.
However, scans have revealed tendon damage and Pangai will now undergo an operation on Wednesday, meaning the Broncos will be without him until at least mid-June.
Pangai joined the Broncos from Canberra Raiders in February last year. The 21-year-old made his NRL debut in May and signed a new two-year deal in September.
The Broncos are sixth in the NRL with four wins from seven games.
