Weather continues to disrupt practice on eve of Masters

The traditional par-three contest on the eve of the Masters was placed in doubt as practice was suspended at Augusta at 10.00 local time on Wednesday.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms meant play was halted for the day at 14.30 on Monday, before clearer skies allowed players to get more time on the course on Tuesday.

But the threat of further storms on Wednesday meant practice was interrupted once again, leaving players and fans frustrated in equal measure.

The forecast for the remainder of Wednesday does not look promising as supporters were evacuated due to the threat of storms, with the par-three contest now being placed into severe doubt.
