Moylan among Panthers trio dropped for protocol breach

Updated:

Penrith Panthers captain Matt Moylan is among a trio of players dropped for Friday's NRL clash with South Sydney Rabbitohs following "a breach of team protocol".

Australia international Moylan, Peta Hiku and Waqa Blake will instead feature in a reserve-grade match on Saturday.

They are reported to have broken curfew during last weekend's trip to face Melbourne Storm, which ended in a 28-6 defeat.

A Penrith statement read: "The players have been dropped from the Panthers NRL side following a breach of team protocol.

"The club now considers the matter dealt with and will be making no further comment."

The Panthers will also be without centre Tyrone Peachey after he sustained a fractured rib against the Storm and New Zealand international James Fisher-Harris (fractured cheekbone), the duo joining star winger Josh Mansour (knee) on the sidelines.
