Kelly continues prolific run as Hull win again
Albert Kelly's exceptional run of form continued with a third successive double in Hull FC's 32-12 Super League victory over Widnes Vikings at the KCOM Stadium.
Kelly touched down twice in victories over Huddersfield Giants and St Helens and he was at it again on Friday to take his tally for the season to six and earn Hull a third straight win.
Aaron Heremaia gave Widnes an early lead against his former club, but Lee Radford's men rallied and were ahead by half-time when Mahe Fonua, who set up Kelly's first with a brilliant offload, crossed.
Danny Houghton and Jamie Shaul dotted down before Kelly ran in his second for two points that put Hull into a group of four sides on eight points at the summit.
Leeds are also tied at the top after breezing past Wakefield Trinity 38-14 at Headingley.
Kallum Watkins ended his barren start to the season by touching down twice, with Anthony Mullally, Ryan Hall, Adam Cuthbertson and Matt Parcell also registering tries.
Tom Johnstone got a pair of his own for Wakefield, who crumbled in the first half and were unable to recover.
