The Philadelphia Eagles added Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith at the start of Thursday's free agency period, the team have confirmed.
Jeffery will join the team on a one-year deal, while Smith has agreed to a three-year contract.
Philadelphia had one of the poorest receiving units in the NFL last season, especially after losing Jordan Matthews to injury.
Smith showed promise during his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before signing with the San Francisco 49ers ahead of 2015, but he endured two poor seasons there, including just 267 yards last year in 12 starts.
Pairing Jeffery and Smith with Matthews would afford the Eagles a much more explosive offensive line. Jeffery was a standout receiver with the Chicago Bears, although he did suffer some injury problems.
