Mustafizur Rahman has been recalled to Bangladesh's Test squad for their upcoming series with Sri Lanka after recovering from his shoulder problems.
The 21-year-old seamer missed Bangladesh's one-off match with India earlier this month as he continued to recover following surgery on an injury he suffered while playing for Sussex in England's County Championship in 2016.
He proved his fitness in domestic cricket, though, and looks set to add to his two Test caps during the two-match series with Sri Lanka that begins on March 7 in Galle.
Mustafizur replaces Shafiul Islam in Bangladesh's 16-man squad, while there is also a recall for fellow fast bowler Rubel Hossain after impressing domestically.
However, there is no place for Imrul Kayes as he continues to search for full fitness after struggling with a thigh injury.
Imrul could still feature in the series, though, with a potential call up for the second Test in Colombo should he prove his fitness.
"He [Imrul] is an experienced player, but unfortunately sustained injuries during the Hyderabad Test [against India]," said chief selector Minhajul Abedin.
"He is scheduled for a fitness test on March 4 and a decision will be taken after that."
Bangladesh squad in full: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Mosaddek Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Subashis Roy, Rubel Hossain.
