The R and A has confirmed Royal St George's Golf Club in Kent will host the 2020 Open Championship.
Darren Clarke secured victory in one of the more memorable Opens of recent years when the tournament last visited the Sandwich links in 2011.
And the historic course is now set to serve as an Open venue for the 15th time.
Martin Slumbers, the R and A's chief executive, said: "Royal St George's has produced a series of outstanding Champion Golfers over the last 120 years and it is a thrilling prospect for golf fans to see the greatest players competing on one of the world's finest links courses."
Royal St George's was the first course outside Scotland to host The Open, back in 1894.
Notable former champions at the venue include Harry Vardon, Walter Hagen, Henry Cotton, Bobby Locke and Greg Norman.
This year's Open takes place at Royal Birkdale from July 20-23.
