Atlanta Falcons fans are still bitter about their devastating NFL Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots.
With the Patriots' 34-28 comeback win over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI on February 5, Zoo Atlanta lost a bet with Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island and had to name one of its newest baby animals after quarterback Tom Brady.
Zoo Atlanta held up its end of the deal and named its newest Madagascar hissing cockroach after the Super Bowl MVP.
Well ... the New England Patriots won #SuperBowlLI, so that means we lost our bet with Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village. Before the game, our two zoos decided the losing side would name one of their baby animals after the winning team's star quarterback, and figuring the losing side would be pretty bitter about it, we came to the agreement that baby animal ... would be a Madagascar hissing cockroach. So without further ado - Meet our newly-named Program Animal family!
Falcons fans will certainly agree it is a much more fitting choice than Zoo Atlanta's adorable new baby gorilla or twin baby pandas.
