New England Patriots receiver Michael Floyd hit back at critics who questioned whether he deserved a championship ring.
Floyd did not play in the Super Bowl or the AFC championship game, but will get a ring because he played three games for New England when the Arizona Cardinals cut him following a DUI arrest.
He received plenty of criticism on Twitter after posting a picture of himself kissing the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday following the Patriots' incredible comeback over the Atlanta Falcons.
Floyd hauled in just five catches for the Patriots, who gave the 27-year-old a second chance in December after he was arrested on DUI charges, leading to his release by Arizona.
Damn I just realized ppl are really mad that I got a ring. I thought everyone would be happy for me. Oh well. I'm a champion!!-- MichaelFloyd (@MichaelMFloyd) February 7, 2017
