Rohit eyeing return for Australia series

Rohit Sharma is aiming to make his India comeback during the Test series against Australia.

The 29-year-old has been out of action since suffering a thigh injury during a one-day international series-clinching victory over New Zealand last October.

Rohit was expected to be out for up to 10 weeks, but has now set his sights on earning a recall for the four-match series with Steve Smith's side - which starts in Pune on February 23.

He said: "I am trying to make a comeback in the Australia series,

"That is the series I am eyeing. I am at the NCA [National Cricket Academy] right now and everybody is trying to help me out.

"I can't give an exact date but I will try to play the series against Australia.

"I have been in a very positive frame of mind during this phase. Injuries are part and parcel of a game, you can't avoid them for long."
