France could be without Wesley Fofana for the Six Nations after he suffered an Achilles injury in Clermont Auvergne's European Champions Cup 48-26 thrashing of Exeter Chiefs.
Fofana scored one of six tries for the Top 14 leaders as they outclassed the Chiefs in their final Pool 5 match on Saturday to seal a home quarter-final.
But the centre is a doubt for Les Bleus' Six Nations campaign just a fortnight before their opening game against defending champions England at Twickenham, having been withdrawn due to injury just before half-time.
Clermont coach Franck Azema said: "Wesley injured his Achilles tendon, we will wait for results but it does not look good."
If the powerful and pacey Fofana does miss out on the tournament it would be a major loss to head coach Guy Noves.
