Ludwigsburg and Avellino seal play-off berths

Martin Breunig led the way with 15 points and seven rebounds as MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg sealed their Basketball Champions League play-off place with an 88-66 win over Proximus Spirou.

Ludwigsburg led from start to finish in Wednesday's Group E clash as they cemented their place in the next stage alongside Besiktas.

Hot on their tails are Partizan after they inflicted a 10th defeat of the group stages on Szolnoki Olaj, the Serbian's running out 77-67 winners with centre Uros Lukovic top scoring with 14 points.

Dinamo Sassari were also winners in Group E as they beat AEK 80-78 thanks to a late Rok Stipcevic free throw.

Everything remains open in Group B with only six points separating all eight sides. 

Le Mans Sarthe sit top by one thanks to their 79-60 win over CSM CSU Oradea, with Pinar Karsiyaka and Umana Reyer Venezia leading the chase after contrasting fortunes in round 11.

Karsiyaka snuck home 78-65 against Avtodor Saratov, but Venezia fell to a 79-61 defeat to fifth-placed Maccabi Rand Media.

Eleven points from Marques Green helped Sidigas Avellino book their play-off place from Group D, the Italians picking up an eighth win of the regular season as they beat Telenet Oostende 78-73.

ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne are Group C leaders thanks to a 70-56 triumph over PAOK, with EWE Baskets hot on their heels having edged a thriller against Neptunas Klaipeda.

Their 73-69 win in Lithuania sees them climb above their hosts in the group, while there were also wins for Usak Sportif and Ventspils in another group that remains wide open.
