New Zealand icon Ma'a Nonu is set to extend his stay at Toulon for another season.
Nonu joined Toulon in 2015 after playing an integral role in the All Blacks becoming the first nation to win successive Rugby World Cups.
The centre, who was capped by his country 103 times before calling time on his international career after their 2015 triumph over Australia at Twickenham, helped the club to the Top 14 final last season and is expected to be available for a third campaign next year.
"We have an oral agreement, we just have to write it down," Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal told L'Equipe.
"If all goes well, we will announce it quickly."
Boudjellal is also said to be working on agreeing a new deal with Wales international Leigh Halfpenny.
