Leroy Sane is desperate to prove his worth at Manchester City after a difficult start to life at the Etihad Stadium.
The Germany international joined City from Schalke during the close-season, but initially struggled to make an impact, partially due to a hamstring problem.
The 20-year-old has shown glimpses of his quality in recent weeks, though, most notably when he found the net in Sunday's 2-1 win over Arsenal, and he hopes to build on that form in the weeks to come.
"Naturally I am delighted to have scored my first goal. Being injured was tough but I have confidence in my own abilities," Sane told MEN Sport.
"I know there will be more to come, more to give to this team and I am working hard at that, striving to improve throughout.
"It has been quite difficult coming in injured, and also coming to a new country and a new league, and settling in, but then trying to establish myself in the team.
"From that point on it has been about trying to break into the team, hit the ground running, play with all these incredible players and try to do a great job for the side."
Sane's goal against Arsenal was his first in his 13th appearance across all competitions for City.
