Clermont lose Bardy for up to four months

Clermont Auvergne will be without Julien Bardy for up to four months, with the flanker set to undergo shoulder surgery.

Bardy sustained a shoulder injury in the first half of the Top 14 leaders' 49-33 victory over Bordeaux-Begles on October 22.

The flanker undertook physical therapy on the joint and returned as a late replacement in the 22-14 loss to Bayonne last month.

However, Bardy's recovery has not been deemed satisfactory and he will have an operation that Clermont expect will sideline him for between three and four months, potentially ruling him out for the remainder of the regular Top 14 season.
