The good news for Miami Dolphins fans: Ryan Tannehill does not have a torn ligament in his left knee.
The bad news for Dolphins fans: Tannehill's ACL and MCL both are sprained.
Dolphins coach Adam Gase said the fifth-year quarterback will not require surgery, but the timetable for his return is not exact.
"This is not going to be one game," Gase said. "It's going to be longer than that."
Tannehill suffered the injury when he was hit low by Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell. The Dolphins hung on to win the game with backup Matt Moore, but Tannehill left the stadium on crutches.

Miami is 8-5 and with a shot at a wild card in the AFC, but the loss of Tannehill stings. Through 13 games, he has 2,995 yards, 19 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a career-best 93.5 passer rating.
