Burnley fans showed their class today when they gave Bournemouth's Harry Arter a round of applause, a year after the loss of his daughter.

In the eighth minute - in light of Arter's shirt number - fans around Turf Moor clapped the Irish midfielder on the anniversary of the stillbirth of his daughter Renee.

The fans even gave the 26-year-old a cheer before kick-off as his name was read out on the teamsheet.

And Arter showed his appreciation for the touching tribute too.

The kindness from the fans didn't go unnoticed by fans, and nor did another tribute for Ray Batchelor - a Watford fan who died this week.

Who ever said football wasn't a gentleman's sport?
