Mohammad Amir fired a warning to Australia with a stunning start to Pakistan's tour as he reduced a Cricket Australia XI to 3-4 on Thursday.
Pakistan are in Australia for three Test matches and five one-day internationals, with their opening Test - a day/night match - coming in a week's time in Brisbane.
Ahead of that opening clash with Steve Smith's side the tourists have been in action under the floodlights against the representative XI in Cairns, their one and only warm-up.
Their batsmen toiled at Cazaly's Stadium as they posted 208 in their first innings, but it looks like an impressive score after a crazy end to the first day.
Pakistan only bowled three overs with the pink ball, but Amir struck with the first two balls of the innings - removing Jimmy Peirson and William Bosisto - before adding Jake Winter with the final ball of the day.
In between his exploits Rahat Ali also got in on the act as he produced a wicket maiden, Jake Carder the third batsman to be removed without scoring as the hosts slumped to 3-4.
