Spurs go 13-0 on the road, Wall scores 52 points

The San Antonio Spurs maintained their 100 per cent record away from home in the NBA, while John Wall starred as the Washington Wizards lost.

Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Spurs, who improved to 13-0 on the road with a 105-91 win at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

After Klay Thompson erupted with 60 points on Monday, Wall put up 52 of his own in Washington's 124-116 defeat against the Orlando Magic.

Carmelo Anthony inspired the New York Knicks to a 114-103 victory over the Miami Heat.

The Golden State Warriors made history last season when they started 14-0 on the road.

San Antonio are within a game of matching that feat after moving second in the second-best road start to begin a season.

Leonard was at his best again, scoring 31 points in Minneapolis.

 

WALL ENJOYS CAREER-HIGH NIGHT

The Wizards lost but it was a game to remember for Wall.

Wall scored 52 points in the loss, the most points by a Wizards player since Gilbert Arenas had 54 in 2006.

 

STREAKING KNICKS FLYING HIGH

The Knicks have won four games in a row courtesy of the victory in Miami.

Anthony's 35 points - matching a season high - was enough to down the injury-ravaged Heat.

Kristaps Porzingis chipped in with 14 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Derrick Rose exited the game in the third quarter due to back spasms.

PISTONS DOWN BULLS, GRIZZLIES WIN

The Detroit Pistons made it four wins in five games after upstaging the Chicago Bulls 102-91, while the Memphis Grizzlies defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 96-91.
