Bulls lose to Mavs, Warriors bounce back

Updated:

The Chicago Bulls crashed to a surprise loss to the lowly Dallas Mavericks, while the Golden State Warriors returned to winning ways.

After upstaging reigning champions the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bulls went down 107-82 to the Mavs on Saturday.

The Warriors bounced back from their loss to the Houston Rockets with a 138-109 victory against the Phoenix Suns.

It was another sorry outing for the slumping Atlanta Hawks, who were crushed by the Toronto Raptors 128-84.

WADE-LESS BULLS LOSE

Veteran Dwyane Wade stayed behind in Chicago after the win over the Cavaliers.

Jimmy Butler tried his best with 26 points but the Bulls lost for the third time in five games.

Wesley Matthews led the Mavs by posting 26 points, 20 of those coming in the second half.

CURRY, THOMPSON AND DURANT LEAD WARRIORS

Determined to bounce back, star trio Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant combined for a big victory.

Curry put up 31 points, Thompson scored 26 and Durant added 20.

HAWKS CAN'T STOP ROT

It was another day and another defeat for the Hawks.

Saturday's 44-point demolition at the hands of the Raptors condemned the Hawks to a sixth consecutive defeat.
