San Jose made it three wins in succession thanks to a 2-1 victory against the Montreal Canadiens.
Opening-period goals from Brent Burns and Joe Pavelski set the Sharks on their away to victory on home ice, while goaltender Martin Jones stopped 31 shots.
The Canadiens were led by Artturi Lehkonen, who pulled a goal back with less than two minutes remaining in the final period.
Chad Johnson starred as the Flames defeated the Wild 3-2.
Johnson made 23 saves and stopped two of three shots in the shoot-out for the Flames, who won consecutive home games for the first time this season.
