Irish fans have come crashing back to reality after New Zealand's win - but they're managing to see the positives

Ireland were unable to make it a winning streak over New Zealand as they lost 21-9 in Dublin.

Just a few weeks ago, Ireland beat the mighty All Blacks 40-29 in a historic Autumn International win that shocked pretty much everyone (yet was also weirdly in keeping with 2016).

But this time around, despite having all the possession and territory, it still wasn't enough to secure a win.

So it was back to reality for many, and an excuse to be sarcastic for others.

Fans were obviously pretty gutted, but there were a few saving graces. First off, there's no shame in losing to the best team in the world really, is there?

Secondly, New Zealand's performance was pretty shoddy, with sin-bins for Aaron Smith and Malakai Fekito and a substantial 14 penalties conceded.

Better luck next time, lads.
