All-French final on the cards in Limoges
Caroline Garcia survived a scare at the hands of Donna Vekic on Friday and remains on course to meet Alize Cornet in an all-French final at the WTA Tour's Engie Open de Limoges.
Top seed Garcia was pegged back after comfortably taking the first set, but regained the initiative to triumph 6-1 4-6 6-3 on home soil.
Next up for Garcia is a semi-final she will be expected to win against world number 166 Natalia Vikhlyantseva, while second seed Cornet - a straight-sets victor over Stefanie Vogele - will come up against Ekaterina Alexandrova on the other side of the draw.
Former champion Vitalia Diatchenko was knocked out of the OEC Taipei WTA Challenger at the quarter-final stage, as Olga Govortsova eased to a 6-1 6-3 victory.
Govortsova will face another Russian, Evgeniya Rodina, in the last four - the latter having benefited from the injury-enforced retirement of Ashleigh Barty on Friday.
The other semi-final in Taipei will see Chang Kai-chen come up against Marina Erakovic.
