The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has suspended the Doping Analysis Laboratory in Doha for failing to conform to regulations set out by the organisation.
WADA announced a suspension was imposed on the laboratory in the capital of Qatar last Monday as the body carries out stringent quality assessment procedures.
Activities including all analyses of urine and blood samples are prohibited from being carried out as a result of the decision made by WADA.
Athletes' samples must be transported to other WADA-accredited laboratories and the Doha facility faces the threat of the ban being extended by a further six months if it does not conform to requirements laid out.
Several other laboratories have also been suspended by WADA this year.
