UNC calls off practice to allow players, coaches to vote in 2016 election

North Carolina is one of the key battleground states in the U.S. presidential elections, and even basketball is taking a backseat in the Tar Heel State.

The North Carolina's men's basketball team suspended practice on Tuesday to allow players and coaches to vote, the program announced.

It appears that UNC guard Joel Berry is exercising his right to vote.

The state of North Carolina is thought to be one of the states up for grabs between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
