Jesse Kriel will miss the rest of South Africa's European tour with a leg injury sustained on Saturday.
The Springboks back was hurt during the 31-31 draw against the Barbarians at Wembley on Saturday and has consequently been ruled out of upcoming Tests against England, Italy and Wales.
South Africa, who confirmed the news via Twitter, have called up centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg in Kriel's place.
Jamba Ulengo is also set to stay with the Springboks squad as cover with JP Petersen, Willie le Roux and Ruan Combrinck coping with niggling injuries.
England are South Africa's next opponents at Twickenham next Saturday.
