Fowler toasts broken Cubs curse with 108 bottles of scotch
If Dexter Fowler has played his last game with the Chicago Cubs, he has left a heck of a parting gift.
The World Series champion outfielder gave his team-mates and club personnel 108 customised bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch, each bottle engraved with a special message.
"I decided to give everyone a special gift to thank them for their unwavering support and commitment to our success: engraved bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label," Fowler said, via TMZ.
"I figured 108 bottles was the right number and I'm honoured to give them to my team-mates, brothers, coaches, front office and everyone involved to mark this amazing achievement."
Fowler helped the Cubs win game seven of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians with a leadoff home run.
But the outfielder may not be back in Chicago next season as he hits free agency.
