Anderson still sidelined for unchanged England

Paceman James Anderson is still sidelined as England named an unchanged squad for their Test series against India.

Anderson, 34, is still recovering from a shoulder injury, but the team are hopeful he may feature in the five-Test series.

Ben Duckett, who made 14 and 15 on his Test debut against Bangladesh, has retained his spot, as has Gary Ballance.

Ballance is without a century in 11 Tests, and made one and nine in Chittagong.

England hold a 1-0 series lead against Bangladesh, with the second Test starting in Mirpur on Friday.

The series opener against India is in Rajkot beginning November 9.

Squad in full: Moeen Ali, Zafar Ansari, Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, Gary Ballance, Gareth Batty, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Alastair Cook, Ben Duckett, Steven Finn, Haseeb Hameed, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes.
