Gloucester have completed the signing of prop Salesi Ma'afu from Pro 12 side Cardiff Blues.
Ma'afu, who has been capped 14 times by Australia, has been drafted in to help boost Gloucester's ailing Premiership form.
"It's good to be back in the Premiership," said the former Northampton Saints player. "The club's been really welcoming and I'm looking forward to cracking on."
He will be available for this weekend's home European Challenge Cup match against Benetton Treviso.
The news provides a boost to a side who have won just one of six league games this season and comes the week after it was confirmed Greig Laidlaw would be leaving for Top 14 outfit Clermont Auvergne at the end of the campaign.
