Rousey will return to face Nunes at UFC 207
Ronda Rousey will attempt to regain the UFC women's bantamweight title when she returns against reigning champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on December 30.
Rousey has not fought since losing the belt to Holly Holm on November 15 last year, but UFC president Dana White confirmed the date for her return on Wednesday.
Appearing on Fox Sports, White announced Rousey's first fight in over a year will be in Las Vegas for the bantamweight title she lost last time out.
He said: "Ronda Rousey is back. She will fight December 30th, for the title, against Amanda Nunes.
"She has been the biggest baddest fighter on the planet since we got into women's fighting. She had a bad loss, but she's still Ronda Rousey at the end of the day.
"Everybody wins or loses, it happens. I don't think anyone saw that coming, Ronda losing any time soon, which is what makes it shocking.
"It was never really about a psychological problem with Ronda," White said about the long delay between fights. "The thing with Ronda is she wanted time off."
Nunes (13-4) won the bantamweight title in July when she defeated Miesha Tate, who had previously taken the belt from Holm, at UFC 200 by first-round submission.
