Jenson Button believes if Lewis Hamilton wins the Formula One title, it would be the best of his career.
Hamilton and Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg are set to fight it out for the championship, with the German holding a 23-point lead.
Engine problems have impacted Hamilton's season, but he has still managed to claim six wins.
Button, a former team-mate of three-time world champion Hamilton's at McLaren, feels a title in 2016 would be the Brit's best yet.
"Lewis has been really unfortunate," he said, via The Guardian.
"He should have so many more points than he has. But if he wins the world championship this year, it means so much more, because he's had some really tough races.
"I think he'll put it down as his best championship if he wins. He's been bloody unlucky, and that's exactly what it is."
Rosberg holds his lead with five races remaining, while McLaren's Button has 19 points in what has been another difficult season.
