People are going wild for Joe Clarke and his gold medal in the kayaking - especially those from Staffordshire

We've got another champ to our name - kayaker Joe Clarke has just won Team GB's second gold medal of Rio 2016.

Clarke not only won Britain's first Olympic medal in the men's K1 since Campbell Walsh at Athens 2004 - but secured gold in a time of 88.53 seconds.

People are feeling very proud, not least people from Clarke's home turf of Staffordshire.

Britain's other gold medallist Adam Peaty also hails from Staffordshire - so there's a definite sense of local pride brewing.

Now Staffordshire can be the home of oatcakes AND Olympians.
