What happens to this French Olympic gymnast's leg when he lands might make your stomach churn a lot

The men's gymnastics qualification round did NOT go to plan for France's Samir Ait Said who suffered a shocking broken leg as he landed badly on the vault.

His left leg folded beneath him and was literally flopping around loosely in scenes that might make you feel a little bit queasy.

You have been warned.

The 26-year-old was seen by medics and he managed to raise one arm to the crowd to acknowledge their cheers before being carried off in a stretcher and taken to hospital where the damage is being assessed.

He's getting lots of love on Twitter - including from the official Rio committee.

Our thoughts are with you too, Said (largely because that moment is ingrained in our minds forever now).
