Bournemouth scored from the worst piece of goalkeeping ever on their US tour

Bournemouth's pre-season tour of the US might not be capturing the headlines... until now.

The Cherries were gifted a solid contender for worst own goal ever - and we're not over-egging this - after Minnesota United FC goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock literally threw the ball into his own net during Wednesday's friendly.

Take a look for yourself (you'll need to fast forward to two minutes 20 seconds to get to the gaffe).

The sight of poor old Ndjock racing back towards his goal to try and retrieve his errant throw is something that is probably going to run through his mind for a long time - we're certainly not going to forget it.

Bournemouth's Twitter account was quite lenient on Ndjock, who does have three caps for Cameroon, as the Cherries won the game 4-0.

Minnesota play in the second tier of *soccer* in the US, although they are due to join the top-flight MLS after being named as one of the expansion teams... they might need a new goalie.
