Savea signs new Hurricanes and NZ Rugby deal

All Blacks and Hurricanes loose forward Ardie Savea has signed a new two-year deal with club and country.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on an extended contract with his club and New Zealand Rugby that will tie him down until 2018.

Savea, who made his All Blacks Test debut against Wales earlier this year, told the Super Rugby franchise's official website: "I'm loving my rugby right now at all levels of the game and I'm excited about the future with both the Hurricanes and, if I'm good enough to be selected again, the All Blacks.

"Wellington is my home and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to continue my career close to family and friends."

Savea made his Hurricanes debut when he joined older brother and All Blacks wing Julian in the Super Rugby ranks in 2013 and has gone on to earn 30 appearances in the competition to date.
