McCall expects new Saracens signings to thrive
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall believes new signings Vincent Koch and Sean Maitland can play vital roles for the Premiership and European champions.
The double winners announced the impending arrivals of prop Koch, who will join from Super Rugby franchise Stormers, and London Irish wing Maitland on Monday, the duo each signing two-year deals from the 2016-17 campaign.
Koch has earned two caps for South Africa, while Maitland is hoping to add to his 21 Scotland appearances on the country's ongoing tour of Japan.
Saracens had already secured the signatures of Schalk Burger, Mark Flanagan, Alex Lozowski and Save Rawaca ahead of next season.
McCall said of Koch and Maitland: "Having already announced a number of signings earlier this year, we are pleased to have finally secured each of our targets.
"We identified Vincent as a player who could make a significant contribution to the squad at tighthead prop and at 26 he is a player with huge potential.
"Sean is a highly experienced and proven international three-quarter, and we believe that he will flourish here.
"Both players are exactly the kind of characters we think will thrive in our environment, and we are confident they will become key players for Saracens."
