Raonic dumped out by Ramos-Vinolas

Milos Raonic suffered a shock defeat in round four of the French Open on Sunday, the Canadian going down in straight sets to Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

While Raonic is a two-time grand slam semi-finalist, most recently making the last four at this year's Australian Open, his unheralded opponent arrived at Roland Garros having won only four singles matches at slams.

However, Ramos-Vinolas has now doubled that tally this week, after recording an impressive 6-2 6-4 6-4 victory over the out-of-sorts eighth seed.

World number 55 Ramos-Vinolas is now on course to meet reigning champion Stan Wawrinka in the last eight, providing the Swiss makes it past Viktor Troicki.

Raonic will now turn his focus to the grass-court season, having added John McEnroe to his coaching team ahead of Wimbledon.
