Former Pakistan international Saqlain Mushtaq has confirmed he will take on a role with England after reports he would become their spin bowling consultant.
It had emerged this week that Saqlain was in talks with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) over a short-term deal to cover Pakistan's visit, which begins in July.
The 39-year-old, who took 208 wickets in 49 Tests, is now set to work with the likes of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid to improve England's frontline spin options.
Saqlain tweeted on Saturday: "Looking forward to working with @ECB_cricket prayers and wishes required."He has previously held the role of spin bowling consultant with Bangladesh, New Zealand and West Indies.
