Jantjies blow for Lions and Springboks
Elton Jantjies could miss all three of South Africa's Tests against Ireland next month as the Lions fly-half requires surgery on a broken finger.
Jantjies has been ruled out for three to four weeks after fracturing his finger during Super Rugby South African Group leaders Lions' 52-24 drubbing of Jaguares on Saturday.
The 25-year-old saw a surgeon on Monday and is will undergo an operation on Tuesday.
Jantjies was strongly tipped to start against Ireland in a new era under Allister Coetzee, but it remains to be seen if he can play any part in a series which starts in Cape Town on June 11.
