Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez and Mesut Ozil reveal what drives them to finish first in new adidas film series

Footballers Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez and Mesut Ozil have revealed what drives them to finish first as they feature in a new adidas campaign - First Never Follows.

Each will star in their own film about what drives them to be first - both on and off the pitch - as adidas launches its new Mercury Pack football boots collection.

The launch video featuring all three - French Pogba who plays for Juventus, Uruguayan Suarez who plays for Barcelona and German Ozil who plays for Arsenal - has been released first.

As the players demonstrate their speed, control, flair and power on the pitch, a narrator says: "Imagine always being first, like all the time. You have to be fast, I mean faster than fast but that isn't everything - you need that flair, that control, that power on the pitch, that swagger, that attitude."

Adidas' new Mercury Pack boots will be worn on the field for the first time during the Uefa Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario this summer.

In this first film Pogba and Ozil can be seen wearing the fresh new ACE 16+ PURECONTROL, the boots they will wear during the Uefa Euro 2016 tournament this summer. Suarez wears the new X16+ PURECHAOS, which he will wear as he aims to become the first Uruguayan to score 50 goals for his country at the Copa America Centenario in June.

Adidas said: "Each film will showcase the inimitable drive of the players to be first. Paul Pogba will demonstrate the style that has made him one of the most exciting players to watch on and off the pitch, whilst Luis Suarez will show how he fights - literally - to win as he takes to the punch bag."

The X16+ PURECHAOS and the new X16+ PURECONTROL will be worn on pitch for the first time at the 2016 Uefa Champions League final, while the final boot in the Mercury Pack collection - the MESSI 16+ PUREAGILITY - will be seen on pitch for the first time on the feet of Leo Messi, at Copa America Centenario.
