Penguins, Lightning draw level in NHL play-offs


The Pittsburgh Penguins rallied past the Washington Capitals 2-1 to level their NHL play-off series.

Carl Hagelin and Marcus Johansson had traded goals before Eric Fehr scored the game-winner with under five minutes remaining.

Matt Murray made 23 saves for the Penguins, while Braden Holtby stopped 33 shots for the Capitals in the second-round series in the Eastern Conference.

The Tampa Bay Lightning levelled their series against the New York Islanders with a 4-1 win.

Tyler Johnson scored twice to go with goals from Jonathan Drouin and Victor Hedman in the Eastern Conference second-round series.

Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop made 19 saves in the win at the Amalie Arena.

The Islanders hold home-ice advantage ahead of back-to-back games at the Barclays Center, the first of which will be played on Tuesday.
